Purpose of Job

The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for a variety of activities within the HR Department with a goal of providing exceptional support to internal and external stakeholders including APCON?s employees and management. This will include responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits, training and development, policy interpretation, compliance, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Manages Human Resources operations and recruitment activities

  • Provides full life-cycle recruitment support to Recruiting Team including recruiting talent by developing and maintaining strong professional relationships

  • Manages employee relation activities focused on coaching and counseling towards conflict resolution and high performance

  • Provides support and coordination with benefit administration, open enrollment processes, and employee leave reporting activities

  • Manages new employee corporate orientation and training programs

  • Maintains employee records in compliance with applicable legal requirements

  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing human resource federal and state requirements into business practices

  • Maintains and updates workplace policies as needed

  • Ensures that contact with internal and external candidates is professional and positive

  • Regularly reviews labor market to understand talent trends and implements incremental change to remain a competitive employer of choice

Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5+ years? experience in a HR Generalist role

  • 2+ years? experience leading HR Team members

  • Experience supporting a wide variety of human resource activities

  • Excellent organizational, planning, presentation, troubleshooting, and multi-tasking skills

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism

  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional customer support

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of HRIS, ATS, and payroll systems

  • Must be able to work independently and as a team member

  • Ability to prioritize and be flexible in a fast-paced environment

Education

  • Bachelor?s Degree

  • SHRM-CP or PHR preferred

Travel: Occasionally, up to 25%
