EROAD Accounting Specialist in Tualatin, Oregon

The Accounting Specialist is an integral role in the day-to-day office operations with an emphasis on the management of payables. This is also a project oriented role that will include various projects designed to improve efficiencies within, and sometimes outside of, the US Finance Team.

The Accounting Specialist will be involved in ensuring that the Accounting function in the US Office is well organized and efficient and operates in an environment of strong financial controls. Responsibilities will include:

Payables Management

  • Manage accounts payable process in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Accurately and efficiently perform 2 and 3 way matching for payable invoices

  • Prepare monthly payments runs and collect necessary approvals prior to processing

  • Ensure that all payable invoices are paid within vendor payment terms

  • Code all payable invoices accurately to the proper account and department

  • Manage Purchase Requisition process and ensure that appropriate approvals are obtained in accordance with company policy.

  • Collect receipts and approvals for monthly employee expense reimbursement

  • Manage the credit card program and act as the administrator for the online reporting tool

  • Prepare checks and electronic payments for signature and approval

  • Report on employee reimbursement spending by department

  • Ensure that documented processes are followed

  • Reconcile vendor statements, investigate and correct discrepancies

  • Respond to all vendor inquiries

  • Foster an environment of strong financial controls throughout the business by ensuring that documented financial processes and controls are adhered to.

  • Assist in month end close procedures, including the preparation of allocated month-end reconciliations in a timely manner to ensure the month-end reporting timetable is complied with.

  • Perform bank reconciliations for Expense bank accounts

  • Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with EROAD’s policy and Group accounting practices

  • In addition to the roles and responsibilities outlined above, the role will include a large amount of project-orientated work for both the Finance and Operations functions.

  • Delivery of expected project deliverables within the expected timeframe and to a high standard.

General Accounting Duties


  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or similar field required, or equivalent work experience.

  • Large enterprise system experience preferred
