About the Program Creekside is a mental health Residential Treatment Facility serving men and women in 9 residential beds and 3 short term crisis resolution beds. This program provides 24/7 quality residential care in a nurturing environment with the emphasis on recovery and re-integration into the community. About the Position We are looking to hire On Call Mental Health Associates for our Creekside RTF in The Dalles, Oregon. There is potential to work full-time hours by accepting multiple shifts. These shifts can either be at their current program or at other nearby programs. On Call staff also have first priority for any internal positions that allow more hours or a promotional opportunity. You will have an opportunity to specify your availability on our online application. Work Schedule: Days/Hours will vary and may include weekends & NOC Shifts This position requires that applicants have the ability to work as a member of a direct care team serving adults with severe and persistent mental illness; to support the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions; perform housekeeping and meal preparation; medication administration; and keep accurate clinical documentation. In addition, while we are an organization that does not practice seclusion or restraint, we do still require our direct care staff to successfully complete our Verbal and Physical Intervention (VPI) crisis de-escalation training, which includes performing various physical, evasion and safety maneuvers in class. Please keep the following things in mind: 'On Call staff must work at least 24 hours per month to stay active on our roster 'Attend a minimum of one staff meeting per month 'Stay current on company training 'Respond to facility requesting coverage within 4 hours of initial call. In some cases, more notice can be provided, up to three weeks' advance notice Qualifications MUST be QMHA Certified through Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) -OR- MEET eligibility qualifications to register with MHACBO State of Oregon QMHA credentials criteria: a)Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Development; b)OR minimum 6,000 hours of verifiable mental health experience working with Severe Persistent Mental Illness population in a supervised social service setting; c)OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental mental health experience and training Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver's license, maintain a safe driving record, and pass a DHS criminal background check.
