Legacy Silverton Medical Center serves the heart of the Willamette Valley with a wide mix of services, many not typically available in a community hospital: CT scan (computerized tomography), nuclear medicine, echocardiography, family birth center and much more. Silverton Medical Center has 4 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy rooms.
The RN Staff Nurse at Legacy Silverton Medical Center falls under an agreement between the Oregon Nurses Association and Silverton Medical Center and will include union dues. Responsible for patient care within an assigned department/unit and participates as a member of the health care team in cooperation with and under the direction of the clinical manager or designee as defined by the relevant Standards and Scope of Practice for the Registered Nurse. The RN Staff Nurse assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Legacy Health System including those for patient assessment and transfer.
As required by licensure. BSN preferred.
This opening for the OR is designed for RN's with a minimum of one year of RN experience who have a strong desire to work in the OR as a Circulating RN.
Transition training into the OR setting will take at least 9 months and will include successful completion of the 6 week AORN Periop 101 course. The training will include class time, didactic training and training at your home site. Orientation work schedule will be (4)10 hour days.
Must be available to take call and meet the call requirement time of 30 minutes once trained. RN's must be available to start on November 9th. Internal Legacy employees must be available to transfer on November 8th.
All candidates accepted into the OR Transition Program will be asked to sign a letter of commitment to maintain full-time employment on the Legacy Health unit of hire for a period of 24 months following completion of orientation.
