CDR Maguire Forestry Inspector in Salem, Oregon
CDR Maguire Inc., a national multi-disciplinary emergency management and engineering firm is seeking a multiple Forestry Inspectors. The Forestry Inspectors are responsible for directing and overseeing disaster hazard tree debris assessment operations at one or more such sites.
Essential Duties:
Review and follow the requirements included in the Debris Recovery Operations Plan (DROP), provided by CDR Maguire
Attend and participate in daily and weekly meetings as required.
Fulfill debris clean up requirements for each individual property assigned, and follow the property owner’s directions, listed on the approved and signed Right of Entry (“ROE”) Forms;
Inspect, monitor, track, and document the hazard trees and slash removed and disposed from each assigned property;
Provide documentation of hazard tree debris removal quantities parcel-by-parcel and by GPS or street, route, and date. This documentation using CDR Maguire's Automatic Debris Management System using a tablet or other similar electronic type device;
Complete and submit any additional governmental agency all documentation that is required by the contract, cities, and counties to receive the maximum reimbursement for all covered hazard tree debris removal and related cost.

Requirements
Forestry Inspectors shall have either at least 2 years of experience in a Task Force Leader role and/or directing or overseeing disaster debris cleanup operations at one or more such operations, or an approved equivalent, such as at least 3 years of experience in overseeing and/or inspecting environmental cleanup and/or remediation operations
Hazwoper Certification
OSHA Certification
Ability to mobilize within 24-48 hours and commit to a minimum of a 4 week assignment
Ability to work long hourly shifts - More than 40 hours and 5 days a week (subject to overtime pay where applicable)
Ability to walk on mountain terrain
Ability to withstand constant exposure to outside elements including heat or cold depending on job location.
Ability to work in potentially unstable risky conditions
Must have or be able to provide your own heavy duty boots that are water repellent and cover and support the ankle and long pants.
Have a smart phone with the ability to download apps
Have excellent penmanship
Be able to understand and comply with all safety requirements
Provide your own reliable transportation
Have and present a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance
Submit and pass a drug and background screen.
Provide documentation that proves your identity and eligibility to work in the United States
Ability to lift more than 10+ pounds and load onto shelves
Have a tablet with the ability to download apps
