Robert Half International Warranty Accounting Clerk in PORTLAND, Oregon

Accountemps has an immediate need for a Warranty Accounting Clerk for one of our large dealership clients! The Warranty Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing general administrative support and focused warranty administrative support in alignment with the department?s service delivery model to the branches. The person in this position will take daily direction from the Corporate Warranty Specialist and VP Of Service.

Warranty Support ? Accounting Review ? Review branch coding of credit/debit memos, credit card refunds, journal entries, check requests and vendor credits. Make corrections as needed and assist Corporate Warranty Specialist on training/education of branch personnel regarding corrections. ? Credit/Payment Processing ? Correspond (via email, phone, in person, etc.) with all branches on coding of checks and vendor credits for posting. Be liaison between branches and corporate accounting teams. ? Miscellaneous Warranty Support ? Assist Corporate Warranty Specialist with administrative/miscellaneous tasks related to warranty support and branch requests. Purchase Orders - Create POs for corporate service team (training travel costs, tools and equipment, training materials, etc.) as needed. Invoice Coding - Research and code corporate service invoices (training travel costs, tools and equipment, training materials, etc.). Submit to AP for timely payment. Assist with miscellaneous tasks and projects as requested.

General knowledge of basic accounting processes (coding, credits/debits) Proficient with computer programs (e.g., MS Office Word, Outlook, and Excel) Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills Highly detail oriented and able to accurately enter data and maintain organized files and records Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; able to tactfully and effectively communicate with diverse personalities in geographically dispersed locations Ability to identify and analyze trends
