Oracle Technical Program Manager - Universities in Portland, Oregon

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 2 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

Technical Program Manager – Universities (Oracle for Startups)

Technical Program Manager – Universities Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Build the framework and roadmap for the Higher Education initiative within the Oracle for Startups organization to drive the greatest value to students, universities, and Oracle

  • Develop and drive key qualitative and quantitative metrics to monitor and optimize impact across higher education programs

  • Develop and manage partnerships with higher education institutions, specifically innovation, computer science, engineering, business, and related departments

  • Create and Curate hackathons, build days, design sprints, and other events to foster new idea development with Oracle Cloud

  • Onboard and manage pipeline of new student/faculty-led ventures leveraging Oracle Cloud

  • Speak and evangelize at conferences, meetups, and events where technologists, developers, and innovators attend

  • Help student and faculty entrepreneurs reach maximum potential with adoption of Oracle cloud

  • Collaborate with Oracle for Research, Oracle for Startups, and other stakeholders to drive cross-departmental value for Oracle

Qualifications:

  • You have 2-4 years experience in startups, higher education innovation, or a similar field

  • You display the highest personal integrity and ethics

  • You have a good understanding of cloud computing its core benefits

  • You have exceptional relationship-building and collaboration skills

  • You have strong presentation skills and love delivering keynotes

  • You love to build and participate in innovator communities within higher education institutions

  • You are a self-starter and have an ability to adapt quickly

  • You are data-driven and metrics obsessed
