Pineapple Hospitality Company Server Assistant in Portland, Oregon

SERVER ASSISTANT

Pineapple Hospitality is a rapidly expanding boutique hotel management company. We are looking for team members who are all about providing outstanding guest service—this is hospitality after all. We’re fun, a little quirky, and always striving to get better (that’s where you come in). Currently we have nine hotels in five states, with plans to continue growing. If you want to be part of a far-from-stuffy company with lots of opportunities, this may be the place for you.

Who We’re Looking For:

SERVER ASSISTANT FOR BOTTLE + KITCHEN

The kitchen staff makes the food look great—you make the experience equally amazing. Our Server Assistants are responsible for providing impeccable service to guests while maintaining the dining room and supporting the service staff.

What You Bring:

We want every dining experience to be flawless and we will rely heavily on you to help us accomplish that. For us, support roles are only “support” in name. You are a major part of our success. Here are a few things you can expect to do during a typical shift:

  1. Prepare dining room for guests by cleaning and clothing tables; set decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates and utensils.

  2. Greet guests and answer any questions in a friendly manner.

  3. Monitor and maintain table setting by removing dishes as they are completed, replenish drinks and utensils, clean spills and attend to guest requests.

  4. Support and collaborate with service staff by setting up and replenishing condiments, assisting with delivering food and beverages, retrieving any supplies that are required, and organizing and cleaning all stations.

Where You’ve Been:

We’re looking for someone with a High School diploma (or equivalent). The ability to think on your feet and work calmly under pressure is essential. You must be able to contribute to a collaborative and diverse team dynamic and have a passion for customer service. Food Handler’s and Liquor Permits are also required.

When You’re Here:

This probably goes without saying but you’ll be on your feet a lot. There will be occasions when you may be carrying/lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, bending/twisting and climbing stairs. You also must be able to accommodate varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays. But wait, there’s a great upside: in exchange for your flexibility we offer excellent pay, hotel discounts, F&B; discounts and the opportunity to be part of an anything-but-standard growing hotel company.
