As a Project Manager, you will supervise all assigned operations and coordinate reports, Armed Security Personnel assignments and time sheets. The Project Manager must be available to be reached on a 24 hour-per-day, year round basis. The Project Manager will provide overall management and coordination of the contract and shall act as the central point of contact for the Tri-Rail project. The Project Manager will have full authority to act for the contractor on all matters relating to the daily operation of the project.

Role Responsibility:

Specific Duties and Essential Functions

  • Perform G4S Secure Solutions, (USA) human relations functions. Communication Skills; investigative tool and report writing; knowledge of company, Federal, state and local policies, laws and regulations governing employment; ability to navigate (Human Resources Information System (HRIS) for data entry of company personnel actions

  • Selection and Placement of new hires. Knowledge of company policy and Federal, State and local civil rights legislation concerning employment (e.g. EEO/AA, ADA, ADEA etc.); effective communication skills for interviewing applicants

  • Perform G4S Secure Solutions, (USA) administrative functions. Aptitude for accounting functions and use of Excel, Power Point, for preparation of financial reports, budgets, analytic proposals, graphs and expense reports

  • Conduct investigations and administer discipline. Know of G4S Secure Solutions, (USA) policies applied with effective oral and written communication skills

  • Administer Safety Program. Apply knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and company requirements for processing Workers Compensation; apply knowledge G4S Safety Road Map Program and navigate Safety portal for OSHA posting requirements; accomplish skills needed for preparation of client corrective action programs including Quality program graph tools

  • Perform management oversight duties for payroll, billing and collection of client invoices. Use basic accounting skills to review payroll and billing for accuracy and contractual compliance; monitor and use oral and written communication skills in customer service to maintain current age analysis of contract invoices

  • Administer SCWE (Safety Conscious Work Environment) program and objectives. Apply knowledge of SCWE practices and requirements throughout all job functions and encourage employees to use Open Door, Safe-2-Say ECP (Employee Concerns Program) and NRC Form-3 opportunities as appropriate

The Ideal Candidate:

Education, Licenses and Certifications Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary State or Federal License requirements

  • Graduate of a certified Law Enforcement Training Academy / Program

  • Post offer, must be able to pass and demonstrate proficiency in the National Incident Management System (NIMS)

Type and Length of Specific Experience Required

  • A minimum of (6) six years previous experience in the management and operation of security services within a transit / commuter rail (preferred) environment

  • A minimum of (5) five years command experience in law enforcement (Captain or above in rank.)

  • A minimum of (3) three calendar years of experience as a certified law enforcement officer.

  • Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively

  • Ability to identify critical issues quickly and accurately

  • Must be at least 18 years old or the minimum age required by the state, if higher

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States

  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law

  • Be able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors

  • Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public

  • Must be able to provide, upon job offer, a DD214 discharge document with discharge status indicated, if prior military

Physical Requirements and Environment

Environment: Mostly indoor with minor outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat

Major activity: Walking, standing, speaking, listening, observing, using a computer and telephone

Physical efforts to carry out job duties: Standing, walking, and sitting. Minimal to no stooping or kneeling.
