Job Description: We are looking for a full-time Sales and Account Representative to work with community blood drive sponsor organizations and volunteer blood donors throughout the Portland Metro Area. The Account Representative works closely with the Donor Recruitment Family District Manager to plan and implement strategies to run effective blood drives and achieve established blood collection goals. This position provides ongoing support to blood drive sponsors and implements appropriate special Donor Recruitment Family programs. The position is also responsible for providing accurate record keeping and participating in blood drive sponsor recognition. The position will have specific interaction with Blood Drive Coordinators to confirm blood drive dates (book blood drive) and will work with the Executive Director or Regional Philanthropy Officer to ensure the drive goal optimizes the account's potential while maximizing the likelihood of achieving 100% targets and executing effective drives. This position is responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual attainment of blood collection goals. Responsibilities: 1: Identify and apply appropriate methods to ensure systematic scheduling of blood drives by assigned blood drive sponsors to meet blood collection goals. 2: Ensure consistent execution of the 12-week drive management cycle to include securing sufficient drive sign-ups occur, leveraging Blood Drive Coordinator and Recruitment Committees. 3: Ensure drive logistics properly occur (bookings, drive time/date/place, and regular interaction with Acquisition Planning & Scheduling and Collections teams). 4: Work in partnership with Blood Drive Coordinator, Donor Recruitment Family District Manager to ensure a positive blood drive sponsor and donor experience, as well as smooth and efficient blood drive Operations Family. 5: Provide the highest level of customer service to encourage the sponsor to grow their blood program with the Red Cross in frequency. 6: Provide sufficient organizational and operational support to blood drive coordinator to ensure achievement of collection operation and annual goals. 7: Schedule and implement education programs for blood drive sponsor contact, recruitment committees, volunteers and volunteer tele-recruiters within assigned groups to assist in meeting collection objectives and to comply with all ARCBS directives, Code of Federal Regulations, local operating procedures and other related regulatory requirements. 8: Maintain accurate records to provide tracking and statistical data on blood drive sponsor group performance. 9: Appropriately utilize tools, technology and strategy provided by the organization to enhance customer service, efficiency and productivity.* ------------------------ Scope: This is an entry level position in the department, with one-year of close oversight and supervision. The actions and decisions of the person holding this position are based on precedent, organizational need and good judgment. The position is responsible for the execution of effective blood drives to meet organizational need. The person in this position will lead and evaluate the work of drive operational volunteers within assigned groups/chapters.* ------------------------ Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, communications or related field; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience required. Experience: Minimum one-year related experience required.* ------------------------ Management Experience: None Required.* ------------------------ Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of group dynamics, direct sales, customer maintenance techniques, negotiation skills, and the ability to effectively implement programs is preferred. Good organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively are required. Good oral and written communications skills, including training and presentation skills is required.
