Site Overview:

Coherent Laser Systems and Measurement (LSM) designs and manufactures precision solid state lasers for scientific, medical, instrumentation and vision markets, as well as calibrated laser measurement systems for a wide variety of laser type and power applications. The business provides critical technology to thousands of global customers with a wide range of products specifically tailored to satisfy demanding customer requirements.

We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to join our team. The primlary responsiblity of this role will be:

  • Focus on activities related to inventory control of material.

  • Perform the physical and administrative tasks involved in receiving, shipping, storing and distribution of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

  • Involved in unpacking and checking goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintaining records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items.

  • Examines, stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.

  • May prepare kitting packages for assembly production.

  • Involved in Inventory Control including FIFO, Cycle Counts.

  • Actively involved in 5S and Lean activities.

  • Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature where ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.

  • Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Experience working within a team atmosphere.

  • Agile and the ability to multitask.

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and basic arithmetic skills.

  • Experience with Oracle, Excel and Microsoft Office suit a plus.

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

  • 1-3 years of stockroom/logistics experience preferred.
