Oracle Project Manager - HR Web Production in Portland, Oregon

Coordinates all aspects of internal information system-specific projects from initiation to delivery. Projects often involve network, server, or software implementation and upgrades, PC deployment and the like.

Coordinates work performed by IT staff and internal customers/partners by defining project specifications, performing feasibility and needs/impact assessments. Develops detailed project plans and manages all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training and on-time delivery within budget constraints.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically seven years of project management, product design or related experience needed.

The Human Resources Web Production and Design Team is in search of a talented and seasoned project manager who will serve as the bridge between stakeholders and the teams executing our web projects. We are looking for the right person to drive a large-scale redesign effort of our Human Resources intranet site, in addition to managing ongoing web projects. You should be someone who is enthusiastic about your work, extremely organized, structured, and able to balance numerous tasks at one time. What you will be doing:

Your priority task will be managing the Human Resources Web Site Redesign project.

In the future, you will also manage ongoing web projects, which will be the direct result of our user-centered approach to continuous design, concept and usability testing. This, and all of the above, will require you to

Develop and oversee a strategic project schedule and timeline, monitoring and adapting as needed

Work with business owners to establish project objectives, then develop plans to achieve those objectives following a user-centered approach

Create and manage detailed and complex project plans

Establish and manage multiple work streams, as needed, to deliver on the project

Monitor production and quality to customer/stakeholder/sponsor standards

Identify and resolve issues and risks

Report on project progress, offer viable solutions and opportunities as they arise

Document key processes and practices

Educate business owners and stakeholders on processes and practices

Implement change practices

Manage resources to make sure schedule is on track

Lead meetings and set expectations for project team, business owners and stakeholders

Report on projects and portfolios

Work closely with HR management, UX, and the Design and Development teams to coordinate and manage UX, design and development processes.

Skills you will need:

Seven (7) years of web project management, preferably in executing corporate intranet web sites and larger projects with established firms.

PMP certification required; PMO experience preferred

Proven leadership skills

Expertise in conflict resolution

Working understanding of user-centered design and UX principles

Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels and personalities

Analytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability

Proficiency with related software tools including but not limited to ProjectManager.com, JIRA, MS Project, MS Excel, etc.
