Summary

About the Position: As the Chief, Programs Management Branch, with oversight responsibility for the program activities related to the execution of the District's large, complex and diversified Civil Works and International, Interagency Support (IIS) Programs.

Responsibilities

Manage the assigned Civil Works and IIS program requirements.

Maintain communications with District leadership on Program execution.

Responsible for preparing or coordinating responses to congressional program and Project inquiries.

Prepare and monitor PRB action items.

Participate in drafting project authorizing and funding legislation.

Coordinate and lead the district's efforts for congressional meetings.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Managing large and complex design and construction projects. 2) Managing a program consisting of multiple projects or contracts. 3) Preparing and defending the budget for one or more Civil Works projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. Two year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
