Description Patient Financial Services, Regional Director

  • Collaborate with corporate leadership to ensure strategic alignment and objective achievement, and inform regional CFO or other senior executives on initiatives as necessary

  • Own, guide, and direct standardization of activities across patient financial services facilities and organizations

  • Formulate direction of strategic plan and goals to meet imperatives, oversee budgets, and maintain and manage cost controls

  • Develop enterprise-wide policies, procedures, and protocols in alignment with Joint Commission, federal, and state guidelines

  • Evaluate and interpret patient financial services variances and trends to strategically align operations

  • Provide input for process design and other implementation and solution activities

  • Drive and review reports to monitor trends and determine operational deficiencies and implement corrective action plans as necessary

  • Allocate resources cross-functionally, including people, data, processes and financial investments, to achieve the optimal workflow and outcomes

  • Leverage comprehensive revenue cycle knowledge to identify and resolve root causes of issues at various stages

  • Identify and monitor key metrics such as cash collections, days outstanding, unbilled and denials for assigned clients

  • Establish best practices to maintain current understanding of client solution profiles, capabilities and workflows

  • People Management Responsibilities:

  • Manage routine associate situations

  • Direct the work efforts and results of a team of associates

  • Develop team goals and manage them for results

  • Develop associates through coaching performance, completing performance reviews, goal setting and development planning

  • Promote diversity and create a respectful work environment

  • Will oversee approx. 150 associates and will travel across sites: Portland, Tillamook (Washington) and Castle (Hawaii).
