Leads the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.
Analyzes business needs to help ensure Oracle solution meets the customer s objectives by combining industry best practices, product knowledge, and business acumen. Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to deliver functional and technical solutions on non-routine and very complex aspects of applications and technology installations. Provides direction and mentoring to project teams, and effectively influences customer leadership on key decisions. Supports the business development efforts by pursuing new opportunities and extensions. Collaborates with the consulting sales team by providing domain expertise. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending and implementing solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products and make decisions based on impact across the stack.
8-10 years of experience relevant to this position including 4 years of consulting experience. Prior team leadership or management experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience preferred. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to travel as needed.

Brief Posting Description –
Within Oracle NATAG Consulting Organization, the PaaS Database Platform Services practice provides cloud platform architecture and delivery services to ensure successful implementation of customer solutions involving the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Database and Oracle Applications Unlimited product suites.
Architects and Subject Matter Experts are responsible for defining the cloud architecture for overall database solutions and platform services to configure and migrate large Oracle enterprise environments, including the Oracle RDBMS (R12, R18 and R19).
Services include architecture, administration, migration, capacity planning, installations, tech upgrades and designing solutions to meet maximum high availability requirements for clients on or migrating to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and Oracle Engineered Systems.
Drive the deployment of the customers’ workloads into Oracle Cloud Services by providing deployment guidance, supporting development of the customers’ cloud adoption model, and providing appropriate recommendations to overcome blockers.
Provide hands-on assistance to Oracle’s Top Tier customers in design, implementation and rollout out Oracle and allied products to meet business needs
Accelerate consumption in high potential customer accounts by providing deep technical expertise. Lead deployment of projects, Creation and delivery of technical content, with a dedicated focus on Oracle cloud services, and lift and shift of customer databases from OnPrem to Oracle Cloud.
In this role one will engage with a wide cross section of internal and external stakeholders – development, support, and third-party partners to drive Oracle Cloud adoption efforts.
Project technical leadership and advisory responsibilities
Team leadership for small teams, project budgets and scope of services

Solution Architecture to design client’s performance and MAA/HA requirements
Mentoring customer staff and internal Subject Matter Expertise focus
Administrating software and tools in accordance with the client requirements
Administrating and migrating Oracle Database or Oracle Applications
Conducting performance optimization to ensure client SLAs are met
Evaluating, monitoring and maintaining the client’s database and oracle application suites
Working to ensure that software security and integrity are maintained.
Developing and maintaining an up-to-date knowledge specific Oracle products and services
Oracle Cloud Certifications
Job duties are varied and complex requiring independent judgment. Will have project lead role or individual contributor role responsibilities. A BS or BA in related fields or equal experience is required. Minimum of 10 years overall experience in a technical role as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA). Cloud technical experience with Database and/or applications migrations exposure is required for this role.
Additionally 3 years consulting or project experience in multi-dimensional issue resolution with Oracle Database and/or Oracle middleware technology. Must have the ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written and the ability to build rapport with team members and clients.
Required to travel frequently within the United State and Canada
Technical Project Management
Subject Matter Expert – sales support, estimating and scoping assistance
Perform Database and Applications Migrations to Oracle Cloud
Perform server/application audits and health assessments
Administer database, application server and application environments
Tune the database and application to ensure optimum use of resources
Institute operational procedures to ensure the client’s operating environment meets SLAs
Ensure the database architecture is able to meet the client’s ongoing growth needs
Proactively maintain knowledge of Oracle’s current and future products/ solutions offerings
Generate the relevant delivery material, e.g. documents, engagement summaries, white papers, in order to develop and share knowledge with customers and internal Teams.
3 years Team leadership experiences on Oracle Cloud Technology
8 years experience of Oracle Cloud Database technology as a DBA
Managing team of 3-5 resources/staff desired
Server and application sizing and capacity planning
Server and application tuning for performance and scalability
SQL performance tuning experience desirable
Understanding of high availability and disaster recovery requirements
Server consolidation and DB re-platform exposure
Database security (VPD, TDE, DB Vault) implementation
System infrastructure knowledge, understanding of Linux (OEL) preferable
Networking concepts and design preferable
Oracle Database and application server internals preferable
Must have experience of three or more of the following technologies; Cloud Infrastructure (OCI or equivalent) RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, Enterprise Manager, Exadata, Oracle Database, Linux Operating System, Virtual Machines or Networking.
