Aerotek Medical Assistant in Portland, Oregon

Description:

• Room about 14-22 patients/day

• Balance this with tracking lab results, taking phone calls from patients, Rx refills, getting paperwork signed off, etc.

• Take patient vitals and review medical history

• Keeping track of other medical needs for patients

• Scheduling referral appointments with other Adventist clinics for patient

• Stay on top of patient schedule to make sure clinic stays on time

MUST HAVES:

• 1+ year of Medical Assisting experience

• MA experience within Primary Care or Internal Medicine

• MA national cert (AAMA, NCCT, RMA)

• CPR Certification

• Experience working in a fast-paced clinic and rooming high volume number of patients (15+) and balancing this with other duties (phone calls, Rx, labs, etc.)

• EMR experience - Epic highly preferred

• Critical thinking skills

• Quick learner

• High attention to detail with good time management

• Very personable, positive, patient-first mentality
