The Lead Cyber Field Service Engineer will streamline our industrial security product solutions for the control system retrofit market by: maintaining the cyber assessment framework; training and coaching field engineers during cyber assessment front end engineering and design;
implementing cyber security solutions; integrating HMIs into secure network environment; implementing and supporting industrial communication networks for control system applications; providing technical support to HMI, cyber and field service engineers, providing input to sales and commercial teams.
In the role of Lead Cyber Field Service Engineer, you will:
Participate as a Regional Service Team member
Lead the execution of cyber security front end engineering and design engagements
Lead the execution of Cyber Security/HMI projects
Execute project management and technical leader duties
Support warranty administration and troubleshooting issues
Perform work at GE and customer locations throughout the United States and Canada, with possible work locations globally
Complete service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements timely
Drive customer satisfaction through commitment to quality
Support the business growth initiatives Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and/or Information Technology discipline from an accredited college or university
Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional engineering position focused on cyber security supporting industrial environmentsEligibility Requirements:
Travel 50%, as required
Possess a valid driver's license and passport or able to obtain a passport Desired Characteristics:
Masters Degree in an engineering discipline, or information systems
Experience in professional engineering or technical support position focused on network communication design / application
Experience conducting onsite system vulnerability assessments within industrial settings
Experience in creating critical infrastructure/control systems reference architectures
The ability to attain TWIC, UKOOA/OGUK, and BOSIET certifications
Minimum of 4 years of experience in industrial control system design and application in power sector
Demonstrated experience in the application and design of the following cyber asset protection applications; intrusion detection systems, role-based access control, security information and event monitoring (SIEM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) security certificates / certificate authority server, antivirus management, network deployment of software updates/patches, back-up and recovery systems
Demonstrated experience in the development and application of virtual machines in a Microsoft Windows operating environment
Knowledge of cyber asset protection regulations effecting the power section including; NERC CIP, NIST, NEI 08-09, ISA5100, and WIB
One or more of the following certifications; CISSP, GICSP, MCP, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CEH
Active participation in cyber security user groups and regulatory committees
Experience in preparation or conduction of Critical Infrastructure Protection compliance audits
Demonstrated experience in the development of Cimplicity or other visualization software
Knowledge of GE Mark Series control system hardware and software applications
Knowledge and understanding of network communication protocols
Ability to meet agreed upon goals and measurements
Strong customer service mind-set
