WorkSource Oregon Fire Analyst in Portland, Oregon

Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. The Fire Analyst III in Portland, OR. Will join the go-to building and fire code design firm that work with architecture firms, government entities and private businesses alike. This fast-growing company supports projects on an international scale yet has its roots in the Pacific Northwest. Responsibilities: Perform building code compliance evaluation of existing buildings and new buildings for projects of varying complexity and at various stages of completion. Write building and fire code reports, smoke control reports, code interpretations, and develop and write alternate compliance requests. Prepare and present on technical issues internally and externally to clients and jurisdictions. Prepare proposals, lead team meetings, lead client meetings, and manage projects. Review project invoices. Perform quality assurance reviews. Work with CFD modeling teams on multiple projects for fire and egress analysis. Requirements: 10-12 years' experience in Mechanical Engineering or Fire Protection Engineering. Broad knowledge of building codes, ASCE and IBC structural calculations, and analysis methods. Knowledge of Seismic regulations, finite element modeling, and fire protection-related disciplines. Strong analytical and typing skills. Strong verbal communication skills. Strong task management and project management skills. Experience in developing project estimates and writing proposals. Experience in developing, leading and managing project teams. Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) is desirable. 5 years in Fire Protection Consulting Firm is preferred. US citizens and all those authorized to work in the US are encouraged to apply.
