Oregon Health & Science University Facilities Technician, Assistant in Portland, Oregon
This position provides preventative maintenance services to OHSU Research and Academic University Buildings during the hours of 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday, working with a Facilities Technician. The Assistant Facilities Technician performs cross-functional and routine or semi-skilled work in facilities maintenance trades. Most tasks are of a general mechanical nature and are limited in difficulty, but may include preparatory or support work for licensed trades such as: plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, HVAC, carpentry, and painting. The work may be under the guidance of a skilled trades person and/or with limited independence when performing routine work and minor repairs.
High School Diploma or GED.
One year of facilities maintenance or trades related experience or successful completion of a Facilities Maintenance technical training program.
Basic computer skills.
Driver’s license required.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
Additional trades related training.
