The Director of the Legacy Health Cardiovascular (CV) Service Line, in partnership with the CV service line physician director, will be charged with providing overall direction; goal setting; and input to key strategic, clinical, and operational issues facing the CV service line. Scope of responsibility includes oversight of LMG CV clinics to ensure alignment with the strategic and operational direction of the CV service line. Additional responsibilities and qualifications of the CV service line administrator are described in the sections below.
Education: A master’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field of study is required.
Experience:
Five to seven years of progressive management/leadership experience in a similar-sized institution. Prior physician office/clinic experience and experience in the CV services is highly preferred.
Skills:
The Director will need to possess the following professional and personal attributes to successfully execute the roles and responsibilities of this position:
Knowledge of planning, marketing, financial management, hospital and clinic operations, institutional budgeting, and personnel and facilities management
Evidence of the leadership, business acumen, management, and financial skills necessary to manage the service line
Ability to plan and delegate assignments, review work, and supervise
Management style that emphasizes communication, collegiality, flexibility, and the ability to work with diverse, highly qualified medical staff
Highly accomplished in interpersonal diplomacy and able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, other providers, and hospital administration
