At Astra Human Resources, we're passionate about helping you on your journey to be better.The Dental Office Front Desk Coordinator is responsible for administering the day-to-day activities of the business office, including: maintenance of the records of patients, scheduling of patients, accounts receivable, maintaining appearance and order of dental office, presentation of financial treatment plan options, and recall/recare system. This position REQUIRES Dental Office Front Desk experience and extensive working knowledge of Dentrix Dental SoftwarePRIMARY FUNCTIONS:1) Manage day-to-day operations of dental office.2) Open and close dental office according to office protocol.3) Review the office for neat, professional appearance and make necessary changes.4) Great and welcome patients and visitors to the practice.5) Help explain office policy to patients6) Collect payment from patients at time of treatment.7) Make follow-up appointment as needed.8) See that records are stored securely and handled in compliance with HIPAA privacy and security regulations.9) Assist in the treatment room as needed.10) Update insurance information on all patients at all times.11) Submit treatment plans for predetermination of benefits.12) Prepare claims forms for patients with dental insurance.13) Monitor inventory and order dental office supplies as needed14) Productively schedule all appointments for doctor and hygienists and maintain a sturdy recare system. Required Skills

High school diploma or equivalen.

5+ years dental office customer service experience.

Dental Insurance and recall/recare experience.

Knowledge and understanding of dental terminology.

Typing ability of 40 wpm. Strong 10-key skills.

Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications,and Dentrix experience.

Bi-lingual Spanish speaking preferred.

Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and work with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.

Ability to come into work on time and on a daily basis.

Maintain confidentiality and project a professional business image.

1) Dental Insurance Billing experience

2) Bilingual Spanish, dental terminology
