WorkSource Oregon Delivery Helper in Portland, Oregon

Classification: Non-exempt Salary Grade: 6 Starting Salary: $15.75/hour How You Contribute to Columbia's Success: The Delivery Helper works in a supporting role to multiple Delivery Drivers. The Helper will meet the Driver at the account to help with unloading, checking in and putting away the product. This position is also a training ground for future CDL Drivers. What You'll Accomplish Day to Day: Assist Delivery Driver on assigned route, delivering and merchandising Company's products in a safe, timely and professional manner Ride with Drivers or follow daily schedule as outlined by manager Assist with working product to the shelf or back-stock area per accounts' needs Rotate all Company's product according to Company standards Develop and maintain positive, cooperative and team-oriented relationships with co-workers, supervisors, managers and others you come into contact with throughout your job Adhere to and follow all Company policies, procedures and governmental regulations Adhere to all state liquor laws and regulations Provide excellent customer service to all assigned accounts Demonstrate behaviors consistent with those of the Company's Core Values at all times Complete all other tasks or projects as assigned You're Ready to Join Our Team if You Have: Excellent oral and written communication skills Skills to resolve conflict Effective organizational and time management skills Skills to work independently while managing multiple tasks and meet deadlines Experience and skills to drive Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required Valid driver's license, access to a dependable personal vehicle with acceptable driving record and auto insurance required CDL Class A permit required Minimum of 18 years of age Preferred Education and Experience: Previous grocery or retail experience Previous merchandising experience Physical Demands: Lift/carry and push/pull 35 lbs. repetitively, moving kegs up to 165 lbs. Bend/stoop/crouch/squat/use arms/wrists/hands/grasp Work Environment: This job operates indoors and outdoors. Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, days and hours of work vary and may include weekends; overtime may be required. Travel: Local travel only, using personal vehicle required.
