This Customer Service position will be located at TCI America?s headquarters in Portland, OR. We have two shifts available: 5am - 2pm or 8am - 5pm.
Job Summary - Processes orders for reagent chemicals received by telephone, fax, E-mail or mail. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
? Talks with customers by phone to receive orders for reagent chemicals and inputs necessary data into order entry system. While taking order, informs customer of unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
? Receives orders for reagent chemicals via facsimile, email or mail and inputs necessary data into order entry system. Contact customer if there is additional information needed or there are any anticipated issues that may arise from completing the order.
? Respond to non-technical questions concerning info such as MSDS, CofA sheets, etc.
? Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
? Education and/or Experience - High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
? Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, ability to write routine emails and facsimiles.
? Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use and solve problems using metric system.
? Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
? Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to fully understand the SAP system software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software and Outlook email program.
? Other Skills and Abilities - Ability to learn & understand basic chemical names and must have a professional voice.
