Introduction to the team
The Business Consulting Services practice provides comprehensive construction audit services to clients throughout the Western United States. We are currently seeking a Construction Audit Experienced Staff to be part of our growing practice. The ideal candidate will be expected to perform construction contract review services, program cost audits, control reviews and related risk analysis, change order verification, and program policy and procedure reviews. In this role you will be responsible for applying industry specific knowledge to all construction audit projects including benchmarking against construction industry best practices. You will continue to develop industry and technical expertise in internal audit services and construction cost management. The Construction Audit Experienced Staff may also review project progress, accounting and cost reports, assist with implementation of new compliance standards, and be assigned to work on other types of projects. You will also have an opportunity to work on other types of audits primarily for government clients (e.g. contract, internal controls, compliance, operations and performance).

Responsibilities :
Identifies areas of highest risk to achievement of client goals
Reviews documentation and conducts interviews necessary to evaluate processes and controls designed to manage high-risk areas
Documents, tests, and analyzes client business processes to improve bottom line results
Prepares effective written reports and supports findings with proper documentation
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, engineering, construction management or related field required; Master’s Degree in Accounting, Engineering or Construction Management preferred
CPA, CIA, CFE or CCA certification preferred. If not certified, must meet educational requirements to obtain license upon hire in state of employment
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis upon hire. Moss Adams will not consider candidates for this position who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g., H-1B status)
Minimum of 1 year of experience in internal audit, contract audit, construction accounting, project controls, or related field
Basic knowledge of accounting concepts required; Audit Command Language (ACL) experience preferred
Experience with data analysis, and risk-based and business process focused audit approaches preferred
Professional demeanor; Exceptional client service skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention to detail and accuracy
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%
