Pharmaca Integrative Pharmacy is looking for intuitive, quick-thinking Pharmacy Technicians. At Pharmaca, our Techs deliver superior levels of customer service and are focused on sharing their knowledge with our communities. This role allows our Pharmacy Techs to expand their experience behind the bench in addition to learning from some of the industry’s most knowledgeable members.
Our Compounding Techs are responsible for:
Providing outstanding customer service to our pharmacy patients
Accurately prepping scripts for pharmacist review (creating labels, counting tablets)
Correctly entering data into the PDX system
Managing patient insurance and resolving third party rejections
Maintaining a neat and orderly pharmacy
Managing pharmacy inventory tasks
Promoting pharmacy services to increase sales
Pulling/putting away manufactured medications and chemicals
Counting/pouring/mixing/weighing/affixing labels/taping
Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as according to current SOPs and hazardous drug control plan (HDCP)
Proper operation and maintenance of all compounding equipment
Maintenance of logs: freezer, balance calibrations, sterile hood, humidity, filter logs, environmental monitoring logs, and temperature logs
Glassware and equipment washing and proper waste removal (reduces fine particulate exposure) according to current SOPs and HDCP
Proficient operation of PK Compounding software
Labeling/bar-coding inventory according to current SOPs for PK software
Proper general lab maintenance and cleanup per SOPs
We ask that our Pharmacy Tech candidates have:
A current Pharm Tech license in the state where the position is located
Confidence in basic mathematic skills
Experience in entering insurance info into pharmacy systems including PDX
Compounding experience is a huge plus!
