Description

Accountemps has an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk opportunity in a stimulating work environment with a team of highly skilled professionals. In this position, you will be required to manage all general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. You will work closely and report to the Accounting Manager. The main responsibilities will include matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Portland, Oregon area and will be a short-term temporary position.

Responsibilities

  • Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis

  • Complete special projects on an as-needed basis

  • Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

  • Assist with internal and external audits as needed

  • Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

  • Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

  • Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies

  • Perform full-cycle A/P

  • Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents

Requirements

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

  • Competent with spreadsheets and databases

  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

  • Proficiency in Enter Vendor Invoices

  • Knowledge of Enter Vendor Invoices

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Practical knowledge of Credit Card Reconciliation

  • Adeptness in Reimbursements

  • Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Experience with Reconcile Vendor Statements

  • General familiarity with Bank Account Reconciliation

  • Foundational knowledge in Process Vendor Invoices

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

  • Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
