Minimum/Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in relevant field of research focus Effective written and oral communications skills. 2 years' experience in fabricating, prototyping, and managing client projects. Demonstrated ability to solve a diversity of engineering projects from start to finish. 3D design experience in Inventor, AutoDesk, Solidworks, or similar. Experience in manufacturing and prototyping techniques such as 3d printing, laser cutting, CNC/manual machining, welding, casting, or similar. Experience in facilities and/or lab management. Position Duties 30% Facilities Management: Responsible for oversight and management of lab facilities and equipment including: develop and manage lab safety training and access control programs for all lab spaces and equipment. manage all equipment operations, maintenance, and replacement. track and order consumable supplies. Coordinate and manage fee for service orders. Provide project review, approval and support. Guide strategic planning to develop, grow and evaluate the HMSC Innovation Lab program. Coordinate and manage the all administrative operations of the program. 25% Research Support: Responsible for providing prototyping, manufacturing, and engineering consulting and testing support for faculty researchers and technical staff. Responsible for providing research machining support. Collaborate with OSU faculty, staff, and students, as well as local agencies and the broader community to design and prototype new research instruments and products.
