The Assembly and Warehouse Manager is responsible for supervising the assembly, shipping, receiving, and warehouse operational areas of the business. As a senior leader on the manufacturing operations team, this position reports directly to the Operations Plant Manager. Works cross-functionally with other team leaders to establish and improve business and departmental processes. Drive performance to KPI’s and the company strategy. Be a strong coach and mentor and exhibit a strong level of professionalism.

Carry out performance management actions, hiring and conducting disciplinary actions as required.
Perform administrative or logistical management duties in support of warehouse and assembly operations, including oversight of scheduling, production, KPI’s, reports, etc.
Responsible for ensuring warehouse inventory is accurate and in control at all times, and the proper processes are followed to facilitate this.
Support and contribute to the development of an enhanced manufacturing strategy.
Responsible for directing and coordinating the annual cycle count process.
Intimately understand the assembly and warehouse processes in order to provide oversight and ensure compliance to processes.
Continuously improve and revise processes in order to move the department forward.
Responsible for managing departmental performance to company KPIs.
Ensures conformity to and preparation of all documentation requirements, both domestic and international. Frequently communicates with freight companies and forwarders.
Ensures all team members follow standard safety practices and are in compliance with safety standards at all times.
Develop and maintain department budgets.
Regularly analyze, report, and present performance to KPIs for the company.
Provides mentoring and direction for all team leaders and direct reports and role models excellence.
Handles stress in a professional manner and demonstrates strong teamwork.
May occasionally travel, primarily in the local area and performs other duties as required.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree and/or 7+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience managing operational departments. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to professionally communicate with all levels of the organization.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Office and travel have moderate noise levels. Machine/Product demonstrations and customer visits can have loud noise levels.
To meet customer requirements, the employee may be asked to travel in an airplane and/or vehicle to get to customer work sites. At times, this position walks on or through high elevations, underground and/or confined spaces, around high voltage and in heavy industrial and/or construction work environments such as bridges, dams, mines, power plants, ship yards, etc. The employee must be able to work in hazardous working environments with possible extreme working conditions to complete customer training and/or applications support.
Noise levels may be extreme and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and usage is driven by customer requirements. Other required PPE includes, but is not limited to, steel toe boots, hardhat and safety glasses. Customer working environments can be extreme in regards to height, confined space, physical requirements and hazards.
