Job Description

CMM Programmer

This company in Milwaukie, Oregon (near Portland) envisions a future of efficient mobility with an array of transportation options that support a combination of personal use, recreation, commerce and adventure is seeking a CMM Programmer for a full-time, direct opportunity. They believe the vehicle fleet will evolve to become a mix of private, public and shared ownership, and while vehicle populations and miles travelled increase, the total energy usage will decline through improvements in efficiency.

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the programming and operation of a DCC CMM to meet customer standards. Responsibilities also include dimensional inspection, calibration, approval of parts fixture development and interpretation of data to assist in cause and corrective action. Essential functions include: Work safely and without injury. Writes, edits and runs CMM programs. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate must possess at least an High school diploma or equivalent. Three or more years' experience as a CMM programmer/operator. Knowledge of Brown & Sharpe Global FX 7107 and PC DMIS: Pro/CAD/CAD++ is a plus. Automotive manufacturing experience is preferred.

The candidate selected must have a strong background in GD & T. Must have strong experience with precision machining with tight tolerances. Must have blueprint reading. Must have experience using CAD software, preferably I-DEAS ver. 10. Must be able to use macros, HLP (High Level Programming) internal logic statements and BASIC Script languages to develop custom algorithms for executable program evaluation.

Must be highly organized so as to properly document and maintain inspection results. Must be able to communicate effectively through written work instructions. Ability to work with minimal supervision
