In our group (Tool Install Central Engineering), we perform the designs for the construction of all Intel's semiconductor fabrication tools around the globe. We perform thousands and thousands of designs a year. Although this position is located in OR, you will have the opportunity to support design integration at all of Intel’s manufacturing sites (Oregon, California, Arizona, Israel, and Ireland) and proliferate systems and processes across the “virtual factory”. Global Construction Engineering (GCE) is responsible for the design and engineering of all of Intel's major manufacturing and cleanroom projects in Oregon, California, Arizona, Israel, and Ireland.
We are a team of specialized in-house architects and engineers that work in a highly collaborative environment.
We work together with our factory, operations, and supply chain partners to deliver some of the most technically challenging projects in the world with a demanding schedule and cost constraints.
Our Design Integration Leads are highly valued members of our Tool Install Central Engineering team within GCE.
As an Electrical Integration Lead you will be:
An expert in the planning of electrical capacity for the manufacturing equipment (tools) needed in Intel’s factories worldwide.
Responsible for managing the process of pre-assigning our tools to their facility points of connection. This process precedes design and helps us optimize the connections to ensure the shortest constructible lengths and allows us to validate there is adequate capacity to operate each tool. You will drive the outsourced team that performs this critical function.
Partner with the layout team to ensure we have complete layouts for the tools in our cleanrooms, influencing layout decisions to ensure construction is achievable.

The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Delivering construction projects globally using multiple project delivery and execution strategies at a competitive advantage. Developing discipline scope and engineering solutions which include schedule, budget, and safety requirements for assigned construction projects.
Leading interdisciplinary coordination efforts, and collaborates closely with other disciplines to ensure delivery of a complete, approved, coordinated scope across a project.
Interfacing and coordinating with Design, Construction, and internal Intel organizations to enable facility design efforts for the area of expertise.
Providing input on design reviews, constructability, contractor performance, and coordination with construction resources to manage discipline schedule and budget.
Ensuring the accuracy of estimating tied to the scope of work and linkage to project schedules.
Managing the budget, forecasts trades resources, resolves resource conflicts, and coordinates trades mobilization.
Engaging in the contract and legal negotiations, incident investigation, safety training, and project assessment when applicable.
Developing metrics to gauge input health with leading indicators that alert to an underperforming system.
Performing feasibility analysis of some of our strategic plans.

Organized and detailed oriented
This is an entry-level position and will be compensated accordingly. You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research and relevant previous job and/or internship experience. Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field
1+ year of experience in:
Design and construction of industrial, semiconductor, and cleanroom projects
Reading and interpreting construction contract documents, Schematics, and BIM.
Technical writing (e.g. specifications).
Working knowledge of Intel tool install and layout dependent business processes.
Experience designing facility systems distribution systems (mechanical, electrical, chems, gases, controls).
Experience using database analytics to drive insights.
Experience with project planning, coordination, and integration.
Experience facilitating virtual meetings.
Direct experience performing a cost analysis of engineering options.
Experience partnering with construction trades to enable pre-fabrication or off-site manufacturing.
