Intel System Emulation Engineer in Hillsboro, Oregon
In this position, you will be architecting, developing and supporting state-of-the-art RTL simulation acceleration, emulation models and capabilities to help power the validation and debug of Intel's next generation CPU/GPU/SoC designs.
You will also be responsible for the integration of simulation and/or emulation tools with Intel's validation environments, deployment of high-performance usage methodology and environments, and provide support to Intel's validation and debug teams.
You will work with a team of engineers to deliver emulation models and supporting collateral to pre-silicon and post-silicon validation teams working on Intel's latest client, graphics and server products.
In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:
Building emulation models from RTL
Modifying CPU and interface RTL to make it synthesizable for emulation
Integrating Bus Functional Models (BFMs) and Transactors into emulation testbenches
Developing emulation validation components to improve validation efficiency in testing and debug
Developing tools to automate the building and running of emulation models
Good communication skills
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences. This is an entry level position and will be compensated accordingly.
The candidate must possess a Master of Science in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
1+ year of experience with:
Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool development and/or logic simulation/emulation
At least one of Hardware Description Languages (Verilog, System Verilog)
Computer architecture and logic design
Software programming skills, proficient in C and/or C++ Linux/UNIX based development environments, tools, and script languages such as Perl, TCL/TK, and good software engineering practices
