SUMMARY: The engineer filling this position will provide global applications support, write software, and write documentation for Radio Frequency (RF) Test Engineers to facilitate the development of production test solutions for products containing RF power amplifiers, low-noise amplifiers, switches, and filters. RESPONSIBILITIES: 'Improve and maintain test program code generation software (Excel VBA, Perl, C++, Cohu Unison Programming Environment) 'Generate documentation for RF Test Engineers to aid in the development of test software 'Provide one-on-one applications support to RF Test Engineers 'Work with factory engineers to troubleshoot issues with test hardware and test programs 'Develop new measurement methodologies to improve quality screens, measurement accuracy/repeatability, and drive down the cost of test. 'Consult in the development of new test hardware to improve test capability. 'The applicant needs to have solid understanding of core RF test and measurement methodologies such as Spectrum Analysis, Network Analysis, Complex Modulation and Demodulation, Noise Figure, DC measurements, and Digital control interfaces such as MIPI-RFFE, GPIO and SPI. QUALIFICATIONS: 'Self-starter that can effectively drive complex projects to closure 'Extensive project level software development experience in C++, Perl, Microsoft VBA, and Linux scripting (Python and C# also desired). 'Experience measuring small signal gain, P1dB, IP3, IP2, ACPR, EVM, Efficiency, Relative Phase, Switching Speed, Return Loss, and Noise Figure on RF devices 'Solid understanding of ATE RF measurement techniques using Heterodyne FFT based RF receivers. 'Experience developing product test solutions with Automated Test Systems from Cohu 'Familiarity with Mobile and Wi-Fi communications standards. 'Experience Testing integrated devices containing amplifiers, switches, and filters, and digital control. '5 to 7 years of experience in RF test required, Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred.
