Intel Sort Test Operations Module Engineer in Hillsboro, Oregon
Sort Engineers own and improve test equipment applications, software and operation systems in order to enhance the quality, reliability and manufacturability of sort testing and sort array fabrication equipment.
This position is for a module engineering role within the Sort Test Technology Development (STTD) group.
As an STTD module engineer, the candidate will be expected to understand and develop Hardware (HW) and/or Software (SW) capability for the test equipment sets, be able to construct and execute.
Designs of Experiment, develop and improve probing processes and perfect the sort process for release to high-volume manufacturing.
The candidate's responsibilities may include:
Partner with internal organizations and external vendors to develop the Sort modules
Planning and conducting experiments to qualify or test module/process capabilities
Developing solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge and problem-solving tools
Continuously improve equipment and process capability through supplier interactions
Process or equipment development, equipment design and experience with external supplier management

This is an entry level position and compensation will be given accordingly.
You must possess the below requirements to be initially considered for this position.
Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
- Master's degree in Material Science or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering or science disciplines
6+ months of experience:
Exposure to software testing and troubleshooting
SolidWorks; Capable of understanding and reviewing hardware/equipment drawings
In a high volume manufacturing (HVM) environment including hands-on resolution of issues on the floor, statistical process control, generation of procedures and Response Flow Checklists (RFCs)
