Oracle Principal Product Manager/Strategy 5-ProdDev in Hillsboro, Oregon

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a member of the product development division, you will specify, design and implement major changes to existing software architecture. Define project needs. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to ensure consistency, testability and portability across products in general.

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.

We are looking for an energetic and talented individual to be a pivotal member of the Health Sciences Clinical One Product Team with a focus on the success of the Oracle EDC (Data Collection) offerings.

The Product Manager is responsible for defining & communicating the strategic direction & roadmap, engaging with customers, preparing & executing commercial, go-to-market, and end-of-life plans for each product as necessary. They work with other Product Managers, the User Experience team and Development leads to help ensure success of each product and maximize overall return for stakeholders.

As an overview, this will include:

  • Being a thought leader in the space.

  • Working directly with customers to understand needs, answer queries and get feedback

  • Strong strategic thinking, planning and tactical execution and the ability to manage and drive priorities across departments.

  • Help build the product roadmap based on market and stakeholder feedback

  • Working with the PM, UX and Development teams to deliver the agreed roadmap

  • Gather and analyze metrics to ensure the product is successful

Desired Experience and Skills:

  • Experienced in the Life Sciences Industry, focused on Clinical Trials

  • Experienced in conducting market and user research, and defining product requirements

  • Good understanding of user experience design

  • Practical knowledge of web and mobile apps and platforms

  • Able to work with engineering team to design and build products

  • Familiar with Agile/SCRUM development process

  • Experienced in working with global teams

  • Ability to listen and communicate clearly with different areas of the business and customers

  • Ability to manage multiple parallel initiatives and stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS & PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years of practical experience as a Product Manager and/or Engineer

  • 5 years of practical experience working in Clinical Trials as a CRAC, CRA, Data Manager, or similar role

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research to understand problems faced by customers/users

  • Defined product requirements and guide UX design

  • Develop product roadmap and prioritize features for product releases

  • Collaborate with the Product Strategy team to develop commercial and go-to-market plans

  • Develop release plans, sprint plans, and manage delivery of features through sprints

  • Work with remote and cross-functional teams to refine requirements and release products

  • Collaborate with the documentation team to author product guides and instructional videos

  • Develop product training material and train Marketing, Sales, and Support teams

  • Collaborate with the Support team on resolving critical customer issues
