Intel's Data Platforms Group is looking for an informatics intern to assist in development and implementation of a quality management system (QMS). You will be assisting in the definition and development of knowledge management tools as part of a remote systems engineering team. A successful candidate must be able to work in a technically diverse environment, adapt to changing requirements, have exceptional communication and time management skills.
Typical activities include:
Website creation and customization to improve user experience and access to information
Development of information intake and storage methods using templates, webforms, and databases
Data cleaning and aggregation of unstructured data into unified structured datasets with appropriate typing, traceability and metadata
Visualization and key performance indicator (KPI) development and communication using dashboards or reports
Organizational information mapping documenting the who/what/when/where/why of knowledge communication throughout the organization
Preferable 3 to 6 months full-time internship.
To start in Summer 2021.
You must possess minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering or related field of study.
Minimum of 3 months experience in:
Microsoft Office proficiency (example: Excel, Visio, Word).
Databases (example: SQL, MongoDB).
Analytics and Data visualization skills (example: Pandas, R, D3, PowerBI, Tableau, Plotly, Adobe illustrator).
