Aerotek HR Coordinator in Hillsboro, Oregon

Seeking an HR Professional in the Portland area!


The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the human resources function in the area of staffing, also providing exemplary customer service and other HR Specialist / Talent Sourcing activities for our fast paced organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting for permanent openings (about 10%) Coordinate with staffing vendors

  • Processes various forms related to documenting human resources activities such as new-hire, change-of-status, performance evaluations, benefits, terminations, etc.

  • Conducts new-hire orientations, counsels employees on benefit features

  • Trains new employees as required on self-service HR tools.

  • Assists with audit and reporting of site staffing programs.

  • Maintains employee hardcopy files. Inputs employee personal data into human resources information/computer system (HRIS) database.

  • Provides information to employees on matters pertaining to their personal employee information.

  • Coordinates termination and reduction in force activities including paperwork, related distributions and communications.

  • Reviews and updates exit paperwork for team, close out exiting employee’s files, store exit interview data for reporting. May conduct employee exit interviews and tally general statistics including headcount tracking.

  • Maintain organizational charts with up-to-date information.

  • May prepare special reports, such as insurance, COBRA, OSHA, AAP, EEO-100.

  • Works on special projects in support of the HR organization.

  • Other Recruiting and HR duties as assigned.

Work Experience:

  • 3+ years HR experience, preferably in high technology/manufacturing environment.

  • Recruiting experience (screening/onboarding/ etc.)

  • UltiPro Recruiting experience a plus.

  • Ability to work independently on numerous activities and prioritize them properly while meeting deadlines.

  • Customer service oriented.

  • Strong sense of ethics and confidentiality with regard to employee and business issues.

  • Ability to build strong partnerships with line managers.

  • Strong computer skills (MS Office suite, Advanced Excel) with some HRIS exposure (ADP Employees).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills, communication skills, and team-based project experience.

  • Must have advanced search capabilities (i.e. Boolean Strings, etc.), experience in mapping and sourcing resumes from all sources.

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and in-depth knowledge of data mining and internet research.

  • Self-motivated and self-directed.

  • Desire to learn and advance in a fast-paced environment and capable of regularly using good judgment and discretion.

  • Knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

Educational/Certification Requirement:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources.

  • PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred; applicable experience in lieu of education requirements will be considered.
