Job Description Summary Responsible for troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of plant equipment as directed by the Lead Technician and Team Leader Maintenance. This position requires a basic understanding of electricity, electrical systems, electrical motor control systems, and process control instrumentation. This includes but is not limited to 480 Volt 3 Phase motor switchgear, 120 Volt control systems, PLC systems, and 4-20 ma analog instrumentation. Job Description Coordinate with Team Leaders and Maintenance personnel to effect repairs and maintain equipment with an emphasis on minimizing downtime. Install, repair, and calibrate instrumentation for process measurements such as temperature, pressure, flow, level, weight, etc. Install, repair, and configure process control equipment such as variable speed AC drives, analog valve positioners, PLCs and I/O modules. Uses a PC and required software to view PLC Ladder Logic for troubleshooting and interpreting equipment operation and control requirements and an I/O list to search for and view the control logic for any piece of equipment. Must have a basic understanding of PLCs, Ladder Logic, electronic principals and components such as resistors, capacitors, transistors, diodes, etc. Must have a basic understanding in the use of VOM, AMP meters, and other test equipment.
