The Software Engineer/OCR Developer collaborates with functional areas to work complex business problems solved by the statistical analysis and information processing of large datasets. The role involves the identification of data sources to support problem requirements, the development of analytical modeling, and the implementation of software for the solutions. A successful candidate will have a track record of delivering forward thinking solutions to address unstructured data problems incorporating technologies such as machine learning, image processing, Natural Language Processing (NLP) and knowledge of emerging FinTech solutions.

-Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
-At least 7 years experience with developing and implementing applications.
Build a detailed understanding of the problem domain and related data assets.
Ensure that the data used follows the compliance, access management and control policies of the company while meeting the data governance requirements of the business.
Work with technical groups to support the collection, integration and retention of the data sources.
Interpret and communicate the results in a manner that is understood by the business.
Participate in data architecture decisions and technology deployments to support the information processing of large, unstructured datasets.
Experience in extracting data from unstructured data sources using solutions in the Artificial Intelligence community including Natural Language Processing, Machine learning and optical character recognition.
Experience in image processing development.
Demonstrated ability to develop a scalable architecture in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure).
Proficiency with both standard SQL databases (SQL Server, Oracle) and emerging databases (MongoDB, NoSQL DB, etc.).
Experience with the following preferred:
IBM Datacap (or competing platforms)
.Net 4.5 and higher
MS SQL Server or similar database
Regular Expressions (Regex)
Web Services Development
Application design, architecture
Application development tools
