About the Program Fairview Firs is a 4-bed, licensed, Secure Residential Treatment Facility serving individuals with serious and persistent mental illness and who have exceptional medical needs. Fairview Firs is specifically equipped to address psychogenic polydipsia. We have a Part-Time opening for the Residential Associate position at our Fairview Firs location in Fairview, OR (Multnomah County). If you have experience working as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Residential Assistant (RA), Residential Counselor, Skills Trainer, or Caregiving for a client experiencing severe mental illness, then this position might be a good fit for you. Work Schedule:Thursday, 2:30pm-11:00pm (Swing); Friday,10:30pm-7:00am (NOC) This position requires that applicants have the ability to work as a member of a direct care team serving adults with severe and persistent mental illness; to support the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions; perform housekeeping and meal preparation; medication administration; and keep accurate clinical documentation. In addition, you will receive crisis de-escalation training, which requires performing various physical, hands-on maneuvers and techniques. Qualifications MUST be QMHA Certified through Mental Health & Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO) -OR- MEET eligibility qualifications to register with MHACBO immediately upon employment. State of Oregon QMHA credentials criteria: a) Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science: Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Human Development; b) OR minimum 6,000 Hours of verifiable mental health experience working with Severe Persistent Mental Illness population in a supervised social service setting; c) OR equivalent combination of behavioral science education in addition to satisfactory supplemental mental health experience and training Successful applicants MUST also have a valid Oregon driver's license, maintain a safe driving record, and the ability to pass a DHS criminal background check.
