    Job Description:

    PURPOSE OF POSITION: Under general supervision, responsible for the management of small projects within a department or phases of a larger project that has minimal impact to operations. Coordinates project activities, schedules and teams. Project management will include project team leadership, development of small project requirements; assist with the development of cost/benefit analysis and definition of schedule. Assists with the monitoring of the project budgets; develops project plans and schedules; and develops project phasing.

    TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires prolonged sitting, frequent standing, bending, stooping and occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Requires normal range of hearing and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, telephone, photocopier, calculator and other office equipment as needed.

    TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Regular office environment with occasional evening work. Position involves frequent contact with physicians, other providers, staff, clinic leadership and the public within diverse settings. Work is often challenging with multiple and frequent demands.

The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment. * Manage and implement small projects within a department or phases of a larger project under the direction of the Intermediate or Senior project manager. * Gather and assist with analyzing business requirements with client clinics to define system requirements. * Coordinate customer requirements and project plan with departmental manager and staff to ensure projects are completed successfully within budget and on -time. * Establish and maintain relationships and effective communications with department customer, departmental manager and staff, vendors and IT PMO Manager. * Assist in the preparation, formatting and presentation of proposals clients. * Assist in the development and preparation of Request for Proposals. * Communicate with other Information Technology business representatives to deliver high quality products to meet the clinics’ business unit needs. * Assist with systems feasibility studies and cost analysis for the IT PMO Manager. * Maintain a knowledge base and familiarity of leading edge technology especially as it relates to the cost effective solutions of healthcare problems. * Develop overall project plan to deliver the successful implementation of projects on-time and within budget. * Assist in define and managing project team. Assist in training teams and defining overall project plans. * Meet with vendors to review and select products and/or services and assist in negotiating contracts. * Prepare monthly activity and progress reports for the IT PMO Manager. * Assists in the development of company’s long-range planning and budgeting goals. * Completes special projects as assigned.

    Experience and Skills:

    PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: Strong project management skills, good communication skills, good organizational and planning skills, change management skills, must demonstrate a high level of motivation, team orientation, professionalism, trust; and place a high value on treating others with dignity and respect. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within and across functional groups as required, while utilizing other resources with good judgment. Ability to demonstrate high initiative and ownership of issues and assignments.

    EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business or closely related field preferred. Certificate in Project Management required or equivalent professional experience. Certified Associate Project Manager (CAPM) preferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one to two years of project coordination experience supporting and implementing information systems in a healthcare organization.

    REQUIREMENTS: Must have dependable transportation, as local travel may be required. Some evening, early morning, and weekend work may be required.
