Are you a Licensed Wastewater Operator with Project Manager experience and would like to join our collaborative team in Coos Bay, OR? You’ll be responsible for the overall management and leadership of the project including profit and loss, permit compliance, safety, quality, and employee supervision and management including staffing, compensation, training and development. Working with other members of our team and the client you’ll build and maintain positive business and customer relationships, and lead the planning, organization, operations, maintenance and improvement of the facility. You’ll also be responsible for implementing safety policy and procedures and maintaining the operation process control including compliance with regulatory agencies.

High school diploma or equivalent and advanced experience in operating wastewater plants with increasing levels of responsibility
State of Oregon level 4 Wastewater Certification, or ability to obtain through reciprocity within 6 months of hire
Excellent oral and written communications, self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Experience working with and overseeing other supervisors
Capital improvement project and treatment plant upgrade experience
Working knowledge of NPDES, Air Quality, and Stormwater Permits and successful permit compliance
Experience developing treatment plant budget and successfully reaching financial goals
Proficient performing mathematical and algebraic calculations associated with wastewater treatment
Experience with collections systems
Experience with CMMS
Experience with IPP programs
Candidate must be able to relocate and live within 40 minutes of the Coos Bay, OR project.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Valid driver’s license with no major infractions
Preferred qualifications include:
Post high school education or degree
Capable of working independently and maintaining an orderly schedule
Understanding of the technical aspects of the facility to be managed
Experience with public works operations a plus
Belt press operation experience
Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills
Ability to serve the public and fellow employees with honesty and integrity
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the client, the general public, coworkers, elected and appointed officials
Ability to travel/walk to job sites to review project team work and environment
