Position: Cashier/Runner/Beer Attendant Summary: A zpizza Tap Room's first responsibility is to provide guests with exceptional customer service while monitoring use of the self pour beer tap system. They are responsible for keeping certain parts of the restaurant in top condition (including the dining room, glassware station, and beer pour system) for guests and for following safe food handling practices when running food and handling glassware. They assist guests with beer and food knowledge and make sure they have everything necessary during their visit. They use the point of sale system and are responsible for following safe cash handling procedures. Attention to detail, teamwork, and overall responsibility are important parts of this position. Overview of primary responsibilities: 1. Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner with guests. 2. Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and explains it to guests accurately and enthusiastically. 3. Demonstrates a complete understanding of liquor laws and service. 4. Demonstrates a complete understanding of the self pour beer tap system. 5. Supports guest through dining experience including providing plates/silverware, pre-bussing, and providing guidance on proper beer pouring. 6. Cleans as directed. 7. Uses Point of Sale system/cash register to take the order and complete payment and set up alcohol pour tabs. Accounts for all forms of money during the shift. 8. Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitization standards while preparing food, serving food, and clean up. 9. Maintains professional appearance and grooming standards 10. Performs light paperwork duties. 11. Is a team player and willing to assist other members with their duties. Requirements: Previous restaurant or customer service experience a plus. Ability to read, write, and speak English. Must meet age requirements for alcohol service as per local laws.
