Support academic success of the College students. Provide personalized attention and offer own pace learning to enrolled students within the College district.
Terms of Employment:
• This is a part-time (<.50 FTE ) Temporary Hourly/Non-Benefited position
• Requires flexible work schedule, which may include evenings and/or weekends as well as travel throughout the district when needed.
• Upon hire, must pass criminal and/or driving history; only information relevant to the position will be considered.
Provide customer service in person, including the following:
Provide in-person secondary learning support in related subject areas, and set tutoring goals with students for individual tutoring sessions.
Tutor students in Chemistry, Biology, A&P, Physics or Engineering to support instruction.
Consult with student instructors, when necessary, to become familiar with, the curriculum to be supported.
Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, using English language with or without the use of auxiliary aids or an interpreter.
Ability to develop cooperative working relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds and other aspects of human diversity.
Physical Demands and Other Ergonomic Requirements:Working hours are regular, per the established work schedule. Work is performed in an ordinary office, mostly sitting. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to function effectively indoors in an office environment engaged in work of primarily a sedentary nature with the ability to sit or stand at workstation for extended periods. The employee is regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms and requires near visual acuity to write, read written materials and computer screens, and sufficient hearing and speech ability for ordinary telephonic conversations. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. All individuals are required to be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
