Nike Software Engineering Manager, Consumer Direct Finance in Beaverton, Oregon

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE:

  • 2+ years’ Management experience

  • 4+ years’ Java/ Javascript programming experience

  • Demonstrated experience developing teams delivering microservice architecture at scale

  • Experience with Scrum and DevOps

  • AWS Environment experience: Lambdas, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, CLI

  • Tool familiarity: Jenkins, Bitbucket, Intellij/ WebStorms, Jest, Jira

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other relevant subject area. 2 years additional relevant professional experience accepted in lieu of degree

  • Excellent analytical skills, written and oral communication

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

As an Engineering Manager, your primary role on the team will be to lead by example. You will align engineering resources to support product outcomes. You will help improve the technical capability of the team through pairing and code reviews. You will actively engage with peers and the engineers you assign to DevOps squads within your team. Focus on delivering integration services that are secure and perform globally at scale. Experience and an understanding of modern development, testing, and observability techniques and tools is required. Along the way, you will improve team health while building trust and diversity in the Nike Global Technology Organization.
