WHAT YOU BRING
You have relevant professional experience or a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, (or another relevant field).
At least 5 years of professional experience in application engineering.
At least 3 years hands-on experience in Node.js. and/or Python or equivalent
Prefer 4 or more years of hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, GCP or similar cloud platform
Experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Spring
Experience with both relational and No-SQL databases
Experience with participating in projects in a highly collaborative, results-oriented environment using an Agile framework.
Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to optimally communicate and connect with both business and technical teams
Have experience and a deep understanding of building microservices and event processing pipelines in a distributed environment.
Have significant experience consuming and creating web services, with a good understanding of API design.
Have worked in a DevOps environment where strong automation and observability are required to keep the team moving.
Have some experience with continuous integration and delivery practices ensuring frequent and safe deployments.

As an Accounts Payable Software Engineer II in Finance and Account Payables, you will help deliver the future of Nike’s Direct Payables product. Nike operates in over 50 countries around the world and has aggressive growth plans. This growth necessitates applications and platforms to automate processes and streamline our finance operations activities as we grow our business. This is a global role that supports a global operations team.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone that has experience with AWS, SPRING, JAVA, PYTHON, Kafka and is familiar with Agile methodology. Experience and Knowledge of COUPA and SAP Finance are a plus.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
As a Software Engineer II, you’ll be building and supporting the services and applications that help enable our direct accounts payables systems integrate with internal/external systems and manage the flow and communication of direct accounts payable data. This role will be part of the Direct Payables team and will work very closely with business partners and peers, both internally on other global technology teams that cover procurement/payables, order management, billing/returns, disputes and credits, inventory, warehouse management and cost management.
Drive technical design and analysis in support of functional requirements gathering, story decomposition, and defining acceptance criteria.
Develop and support integrations that may include API Contracts, pipelines, and transformation services.
Optimally operate within our engineering environment and help it evolve over time
Review your peers’ technical designs, code, and tests, giving encouraging feedback and asking good questions.
Work in a collaborative environment that rewards experiments, initiative, curiosity, and mentoring.
Practice DevOps ensuring a culture of testing and releasing software on AWS continuously using automation and monitoring.
Partner with other engineering and product teams to loosely couple and scale the platform.
