Nike Senior Software Engineer, Consumer 360 in Beaverton, Oregon

What you bring

  • 4+ years relevant work experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or another relevant field

  • Understanding of developing complex software solutions

  • Understanding of solution and technical design

  • Strong problem solving and analytical mindset

  • Experience building scalable, real time and high-performance cloud data lake solutions

  • Experience with relational SQL and scripting languages such as Shell and Python

  • Experience with source control tools such as GitHub and related dev process

  • Experience working with Big Data streaming services such as Kinesis, Kafka, etc.

  • Experience working with NoSQL data stores such as HBase, DynamoDB, etc.

  • Experience provisioning RESTful API’s to enable real-time data consumption

  • Experience building scalable, real time and high-performance cloud data lake solutions

  • Hands-on experience on Rest API & CI/CD framework

  • Experience with workflow scheduling/orchestration tools

  • Hands-on experience of cleaning, preparing and optimizing data for ingestion and consumption

Who are we looking for

We are looking for multiple Senior Software Engineers to help design and build scalable software solutions, implement and integrate new technologies, manage and evolve existing platforms. This role will be a key as Nike move towards its Consumer Direct Acceleration strategy and will require greater insights into Consumer Data. The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication skills, proven experience with data, and an innate drive to deliver results. He/she will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and will enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.

What will you work on

In this role, You will develop the products focused primarily on Consumer Data. Our vision is to extend our insight of consumer earlier in their journey and help Nike unlock the next best consumer action. As Nike makes the pivot to consumer direct acceleration, this team is going to become the foundation to bring consumer data and advanced marketing capabilities to Nike.

This role is part of Nike’s Enterprise Data & Analytics Organization and you will work with world-class talent of people in the field of Data Engineering with a goal of better business insights and driving data driven decisions across the organization. You’ll be working closely with internal partners, Product Owners, Engineering Leaders, Data Analysts, Big Data Leads and Engineers.
