Support Process and Manufacturing Engineers to meet customer expectations and requirements
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work under the guidance of a Process Engineer to support Production by addressing issues and fixing problems that adversely affect manufacturing operations.
Assist Process Engineers to ensure that processes and equipment procedures are developed and documented appropriately.
Work with Process Engineering to help evaluate capital equipment needed to support product specific requirements.
Provide technical training to production personnel.
Investigate, problem solve to root cause and resolve quality issues on Production, Supplier and Customer related issues using established Vanguard processes and review Corrective Action Effectiveness.
Support Production with the tooling, fixtures and/or programs that are essential to meet production time standards using Lean Concepts.
Drive continuous improvement by looking for opportunities for improvement and working projects, small and large, to successful completion resulting in improved performance and profits.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
RequiredExperience with assembly instruction creation, control and maintenance processes. Knowledge of Manufacturing processes and/or equipment operation. Ability to use metric and standard measuring systems and able to understand X-Y-Z coordinates. Solid Windows based PC skills including, but not limited to PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment. Thorough understanding of troubleshooting techniques. Able to document and summarize data on a control chart and graph/results.
PreferredExperience in ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and/or AS9100. Experience with New Product Introduction processes in electronics manufacturing services environment. Electro-mechanical skills.
KEY COMPETENCIESGood root cause analysis skills. Strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to work with minimal supervision and make productive use of time.
EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent
Preferred- AA degree in electronics or mechanical engineering and/or 5 years relevant electronic manufacturing experience. - Component ID training or IPC or equivalent training/certification highly encouraged. Working knowledge of IPC-610, J-STD, IPC 7711/7721, IPC-A-600, ANSI/ESD S20.20 standards.
