WorkSource Oregon Peer Support Specialist in BEAVERTON, Oregon
Qualifications: * Peer Support Specialist certification from a State-approved training program. * Provide required letter from the Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) with the Traditional Health Worker Number. If interviewed, must be able to provide a copy of the letter. * Transporting clients in a personal vehicle is required. Must have access to car, valid driver's license, proof of current automobile insurance coverage, and skills to meet driving requirements. Duties: * This full-time position. ACT is an intensive Assertive Community Treatment fidelity program. This is a community-based program, with approximately 80% of your time spent in the community. Our team works with adults, ages 18-99, who have severe and persistent mental illness who need intensive, wrap around services to assist with issues including (but not limited to) difficulty with housing, social support, interactions with law enforcement, addictions, economic status, employment, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, interpersonal skills, basic needs, and general independent living skills that are barriers to residing independently in the community. * The Peer Support Specialist position provides additional support for adult clients needing assistance to stay in the community and not be hospitalized. Days/Hours: This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. This position is also responsible for the ACT 24-hour crisis phone one week out of every 7 weeks.
