Description

As the North America Young Athletes Brand Manager, you will assist in the planning and implementation of category and seasonal initiatives that foster brand strength, fuel consumer demand and strengthen our connection with athletes. You will aid in creating the future of sport for our young athlete consumer. You will maintain a close relationship with key consumer groups and work closely with the Global category team, Digital Marketing, Integrated Retail Marketing, Communications, Sports Marketing and Territory Marketing teams to develop strategic marketing plans and briefs. You will work with these teams to identify influencers, stay current on market trends and complete the fieldwork/research needed for the plans.

You will assist in the gathering of information, communication and progress on initiatives and in overseeing categorical and seasonal event activation that ensures excellence with functional and territory teams. You will also support the Integrated Marketing process and assist in leading processes that enable timely and effective implementation by cross-functional business teams. You will participate in the creation of seasonal product outlines that detail all key products and communicate product support to cross-functional teammates. Also, you will partner with Finance to track expenses against each assigned budget and work closely with the Demand Planning and Inventory Management teams to place product buys and ensure the timely product delivery and program activation.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline

  • 5+ years' experience in progressively responsible Brand marketing or consumer marketing, marketing strategy, marketing planning, marketing implementation, retail merchandising, display and consumer servicing, and/or events execution

  • 2 years' additional experience in lieu of degree

  • Demonstrated knowledge of athletic industry and trends in the marketplace

  • Understanding of the competitive market, customers, and retail trends

Preferred:

  • Exemplary project management skills, with ability to multitask and excel in a lean and demanding work environment

  • Marketing experience targeted to a variety of different consumers with deep understanding of cultural trends

  • Understanding of the Nike matrix and product lines
