Description

As a Full Stack Web Application Engineer, your role on the team will include developing, designing, unit testing, implementing and documenting solutions that include not only the code to supports business functionality but to resolve complex problems which may arise along the way.

You will be a member of a scrum team of 4-5 developers who will develop all aspects of our commerce in the cloud consumer experiences. Your team will be involved in creating services and applications in a continuous delivery model and implementing the user experience used by Nike consumers. This role involves full stack development leveraging Java, Javascript, Node composition services, web experiences and frameworks to improve security, reliability, maintainability, and performance for Nike.com.

Qualifications

Experience Preferred & what we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or other relevant subject area

  • Minimum 4 years of experience as a full-stack developer as part of a development a team building large scale web applications

  • Experience working in a Distributed/Cloud-based environment (e.g. Amazon EC2, GCE, Rackspace, Azure, etc.).

  • Prior experience in designing and implementing highly scalable web applications

  • Diverse and deep experience in Web Front End development, HTML, CSS, & JavaScript (React/Redux experience a plus)

  • Expertise in designing and creating scalable services, REST Web Services in Node.js and Java

  • Experience creating and maintaining reusable components and libraries in Javascript and Java.

  • Ability to work in a complex environment. Self-starter who can work without a lot of supervision or direction

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams

  • Experience with CI/CD and working on teams with DevOps responsibilities

  • Must have agile experience with applied principles and methods

  • Ability to pass a background investigation.
